Egg pastries (Trouxas de Ovos)
Trouxas de Ovos are a traditional sweet from Beja, inherited from the conventual desserts of the Convent of Nossa Senhora da Conceição. Made only with egg yolks and sugar, they are distinguished by their light texture, sweet flavour and delicate cone shape. A true symbol of Alentejo confectionery.
